Nearly $6 million in federal funding will support land reclamation, infrastructure improvements, and job creation in Hoover.
Stadium Trace Village Phase 2 has been awarded a significant federal grant as part of Alabama’s Abandoned Mine Land Economic Revitalization (AMLER) program — a major step forward for continued growth and redevelopment in Hoover.
The Alabama Department of Workforce announced that nearly $11.75 million in AMLER funding has been awarded statewide for 2025. Of that total, approximately $5.875 million has been allocated to the Stadium Trace Village Phase 2 project.
The AMLER program is designed to reclaim former mine lands while simultaneously supporting economic development, infrastructure improvements, and long-term job creation. For Stadium Trace Village, this funding will accelerate site preparation and redevelopment efforts tied to Phase 2 of the project.
“This investment represents more than land reclamation — it’s about reinvesting in our community, creating opportunity, and continuing the momentum of Stadium Trace Village as a destination for commerce, connection, and growth,” the development team noted.
The project aligns with broader state and federal initiatives aimed at turning underutilized land into productive, community-driven spaces that support local economies.
